Shouldn’t Do List in 2012

It’s only 6 days left before we can say “Happy New Year” all around.

I think it’s not too early to write a part of To Do List in 2012. Since we can’t roll back the time, and I know until now I still do things that I shouldn’t do, I hope next year I can manage my time better. So I can set my priority and see either it’s useful or not.

Inspired from this, and I totally agree with Dorie Clark about the list of “Five Things You Should Stop Doing in 2012″.  And here, I add several points for my list, so this can be my reminder when “I get lost” :D .

  1. Don’t buy books before I finished to read the previous. I need to warn myself, because sometimes I exaggerated buy books and I don’t have plenty of time to read all of them. Err, actually I have time, but too lazy to read them.
  2. Shopping using my brain, not using my feeling. Because I’ve found out that sometimes when I open my cupboard, I say “what was on my mind when I purchase this”. And the clothes will be end up to someone else’s cupboard.
  3. Sleep earlier, because I can use the time to upgrade my brain and insert something useful in it.
  4. My addiction to “a way to exist” media.

Focus focus focus! Like what Peter Bregman wrote

The world is changing fast and if we don’t stay focused on the road ahead, resisting the distractions that, while tempting, are, well, distracting, then we increase the chances of a crash.

I think this temporarily enough. Maybe addition will be written when I find other things :) . And what are on your Shouldn’t Do List in 2012?

Cool. I should get started on my list right away, then throw it out, because the more I stress about what I shouldn’t do, I’ll probably end up doing it! Like getting “too involved” with male friends…

However…i don’t like the idea of ‘restriction’. Like the old saying, semakin dilarang semakin dilakukan :D
